Same in our house. She works hard as a nurse and usually needs good shoes for standing and walking all day, things she needs. I also need trees, so we balance out..

My stance is as long as the bills are paid, the retirement accounts have been contributed to and stuff we really need are taken care of, extra funds are for fun and entertainment things. Can't sit on the couch all day in our spare time watching golf...
