Here's another Shore pine. This one is another of those super-old, super-contorted ones I collected on upper Vancouver Island in a lowland bog when writing and photographing for the book about Dan Robinson. While the other one I collected that trip was very appealing to me, this one was not so much, and I did nothing to it at first. About a year and a half ago Dan and I styled it together during a book signing at a local shop.

Turned out not too shabby, but it's still not in the same league with the other two I have, and how the heck many of these things does a man need, anyway? So it goes with a handful of other trees and about 50 pots to Bonsai Northwest in the next couple of weeks for sale on consignment. Thought I'd post it here for folks' enjoyment before I released it into the wilds of the marketplace. Enjoy.

I think I'd be visiting BNW in a couple of weeks if I lived anywhere near it! That's what I think...

How much are you wanting for the tree?

Yup not too shabby, in the way a Lamborghini is just a car.

Been a very hectic week, and I forgot today to follow-up on my intention to contact you and Vic for first dibs on any of the pots. I called Sharon today, and plan to meet her and John on Sunday, but please come by anytime between now and then and see if you want any. Got some nice ones.

Probably $500-600 due to the age, rarity and to-die-for bark. If it doesn't sell in six months they say I can set it lower. It probably won't live down where you are - if that's why you're asking, sorry.
