Hello! Some of you might remember my thread "Juniper Bonsai". So, I wired it, I dont think of prunning it until next year or repotting it. A little branch seemed to have gone yellow! What does this mean? Here in South Texas there have been some weather changes. Also, I am not fertilizing the tree yet. I water it once day and yes, it has good drainage soil.

your soil does not look as it drains too well. There is too much black, organic nursery soil, in my opinion. I would put it in a mix of grit, pumice and Turface, and feed the plant with soluble fertilizer once a week.

Junipers shed old foliage or foliage that get's shaded out... the foliage turns yellow then falls off. This is normal/natural and happens every year. The rest of the tree looks fine.
Yes, I was going say it looks fine too. That little sprig isn't anything to worry about. One thing that might help you to not worry about this tree so much is to go to your local garden center and pick out a couple more one or two gallon juniper procumbens nanas. Look for the thickest trunks you can find among their selection and bring them home. Dont worry about repotting, pruning or wiring at all on those ones yet . Just learn to keep them alive. Learn their watering needs, growth patterns, etc. They're usually pretty inexpensive and youll feel better about practicing on them rather than your special one.

The yellowing bit of growth in the second pic is dying off.. probably received some trauma when you wired. But yeah no problem, tree looks fine.

Yes maybe. It also was my very first time wiring a tree. You think I did a good job? Or perhaps i need more movement in the base?
