Got a big boxwood out if the yard last fall, stuck into a generic pot wit soil from the hole and some APL mix - is it to late here in 6a Ohio to do a proper repot, removing the old soil? I feel like I missed my window, bit buxus is so tough, I had to ask....

Thanks!

Better to wait if there's no emergency

Gotta love boxwood.

I think it depends on your plan for next year. Repotting now (your summer dormancy window) would probably be fine on nursery stock, but it would make me a little hesitant to work collected material hard in the spring. Is it growing vigorously? If the plant is older I would wait until spring and then take multiple actions at once. Good luck!

There in not much upside to repotting right now. I would wait myself.

I guess I knew the right answer, something about it sitting in that pot just irritates me - I'll keep feelding it for now, plan for next spring.

Thanks for the input, talking me down 😉
