Yamadori hunt 2017

Each year I like to go up into the mountains and see what I can find. It was mainly to take my family up for a Easter vacation but with the added benefit of hunting for stuff. I'm currently very happy with my collection and wasn't looking for anything but a pine of some sort. I took a ton of picture but I forgot to take pictures of the pine(pinus virginiana) so i'll update it tomorrow. here's just a slew of pics

Many tree's where pretty amazing and I was so amazed by them that I forgot to take picture of a lot of the good ones

This was halfway up the mountain(thats a 50 degree incline) and up on this outcropping is where I got the pine I was looking for


Only way was to climb up about 20 feet


Some nice dead wood on pines

No idea what this was but it was by the river and would have been good to collect but I simply didn't have room in the car, NEXT YEAR!

The pine I collected, has an awesome natural dead wood which the top will be connected down the road. Please excuse the yard I was on vacation for over a week and it needs weeded and Mowed

Yeah there been a ton of bears in the area so I wanted some form of defense as I forgot my firearm
