I'm looking for Acer Buergerianum (Trident Maple) and Zelkova Serrata mame pre-bonsai.

Slightly larger pre-bonsai is also a possibility if I can air layer a "mame bonsai" from it.

If this is not possibe to find seedlings of both species are also welcome so I can start from scratch.

Does anybody have a lead for me within Europe?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Check out Mistral Bonsai

On Bonsaiplaza there's a lot of things that might be of interest to you. Some friends have been growing seedlings, I could ask them how far along those are. What phase/stage material are you looking for specifically? Do you want to grow branches or are trunks and rootbases alright to develop too?

I would like to have some stock that gives me the right start to develop a mame bonsai.
But a few rooted cuttings would also be nice to start with.

If I look at this kind of material in bonsai webshops it is highly overpriced IMO or not what I'm looking for.

You have both seedlings in kenshobonsaistudio shop located in Portugal.

I don't know if miniature or railroad gardening is popular in Europe, but I found some of the best developed plants and cultivars for mame bonsai in online miniature garden nurseries. Alpine plants, herbs are fun to play with also.
