Wood Firing Opportunities in Colorado?

Ever since I’ve started doing ceramics, I’ve always wanted to fire my work in a wood-fire kiln. Seems like these are hard to come by. Just wondering if anybody in the Colorado area does wood firing, or knows of a group that does. I’d love to get in on it and help out by taking a turn feeding the kiln, etc.

Maybe one of the Boulder studios does. I believe one kiln is out of commission and one you can purchase space in it. I should also mention that a Japanese wood kiln exists in Park county. I don't think it's been in use for a long while. It's on my list to talk to the current owners and if they are wiling to let someone fire it and it is still safe, Ill be posting more about it. Also we might have a studio in Denver next year with a wood kiln. Keep your finger crossed!

I will look into the Boulder one. Any idea what it is called? Is it Groundworks Art Lab?

Would be AWESOME to fire out in Park County. I’d definitely be willing to pitch in funds and labor. Same for the Denver option.

It might be the Boulder Potters' Guild. I would try them as they probably know if it's not them.
