Need advice!
I have taken 2 nursery stock BCs about a month ago and put them in these large pots. I am in Central Ky.
I am not sure what to do this winter:
1) leave them in these pots outside
2) move them in pots to unheated garage
3) put them in ground
I have not decided at this point whether to ultimately put them in ground for 2-3 years or repot in the spring.

BC are hardy to zone 4. I will have mine in mulch for the winter.

I'd just mulch them into a garden bed covering the pots up to the trunk with mulch. I have routinely overwintered bald cypress here in Zone 7 Virginia for years with no issues.

As long as they are not Florida trees you’re OK. Florida trees just can’t seem to take the winters up here and I lost the one I had from Tampa over the winter. If it’s a Florida tree then bet it in a garage or other unheated building where the temps don’t get so cold.
