since were almost half way through fall, what is everyone doing to get prepared for winter?
I think I need a cold frame. Im not sure how cold it is going to get down here in southern georgia. I only have a couple tropicals, so I think those will be okay if I bring them in the house with a decent light.
some of my worries are my substrates and pots arent good. I have alot of things in dirt and also in nursery pots mostly. I have lots of pine straw around, so I can build a lil hill to dig them into.......I havent been through a winter yet with deciduous trees. ive got 5 japanese maples and a trident maple that I think will be fine, Im slightly worried about the couple hollys that I have and the small boxwoods.
IDK, any tips or advice for my first winter? The leaves havent even started changing yet hopefully that happens, anywho. Anyone in GA think I need to take extra precaution at anything to get into next spring ??
