Willow Leaf Ficus

I have 2 willow leaf ficuses and while they do shed a bunch of leaves each winter, I've never had them even come close to totally defoliating. Not sure why it happens for others. Before I finally bring them in for the winter, I do move them into a shady location outside for a couple of weeks. Maybe that helps ease the transition - not sure. Right now mine are sitting in front of a north and an east window (they get switched periodically) with no supplemental light. And since this is Rochester, there is very little sunlight most of the winter so light levels are pretty low.

Unfortunately LUX and PAR are not the same. LUX measures light that human eyes can see. PAR measures light that plants can actually use for photosynthesis. When I use Photone it does not ask me about a diffuser. Sorry this happens to you.
