Who do you wanna be when you grow up?

Who's your inspiration in the bonsai world? Who do you look up to? Who's trees/garden do you admire, that makes you say to yourself, I really wanna be like them when I grow up? Post your favorites plz and what you love about them (can be more than one of course)

I'll go first. This is one person that I admire alot. Don't know if he's on this site or not, but I follow him on Instagram. Holy cow, this guy's trees and garden are heaven to me. I love the setup, it feels so incredibly cozy. I don't have the desire or the need to emulate a famous bonsai person.

I don't need to have a world class tree.

I just want to have nice, healthy, trees of my own that are legitimate good bonsai

I like Ryan Neil's approach and mindset. I would love to have a few trees styled like his, which is my first goal as I work on a simple juniper tomorrow.

Yeah, I'd love to be able to style like him too. Juniper in particular is so difficult for me to style. I have some really decent ones that I'm really reluctant to work on because I don't want to kill them

I would honestly love to be as excited and creative as Nigel Saunders is, when I'm his age.

I'm quite young and just the thought of owning a yard brings me a lot of joy. I'm lucky enough that I have a really nice garden where I rent; but I can't truly call it mine.

All that to say, I want to be a person who *owns* a garden when I grow up

There are so many bonsaists whose work I admire, but I don't aspire to be like them. I would very much like to have a world class tree, or at least the skills to get there, but I too would simply like to have nice, healthy trees that I can appreciate and work on for years to come.
