do you cut or pluck the needles from the white pine in the fall? curious as to see what you nuts think the preferred method is. Thx.

I cut mine, so as not to damage anything. I would rather pull them, as I enjoy that job...
 
For the most part, I find that last year's JWP needles turn yellow, then brown. Once they turn brown, they fall off really easily, or can be "brushed off" by hand.

If you want to remove some of this years needles, for instance those that point down, I'd cut them off really short.
 
On white pine, it's actually the 3 year old needles that turn yellow and fall off....
