White Oak (Swamp? )

I collected this White Oak from my neighbor's property this spring. I was interested in confirming that it is a Swamp Oak. It has some low movement, but lacks branches in the middle of the tree. I was hoping someone with experience could let me know if there is a chance it will bud out on this craggy bark. I noticed that it bud out from smoother areas of the bark.

My plan is to let it grow until leaf drop and cut back to the 1st leaf on each branch in October. Alternatively I could wait an extra year to build strength.
Any other ideas? I know Vafisher and Zach Smith have worked with Swamp Oak.

Looks like the leaf lobes have bristles on the tips. I don't think any oaks in the Leucobalanus subgenus have bristles.

I looked through the Field ID book. The only one close with bristles is the blackjack oak. It may be a hybrid.

Blackjack is my guess too. I don't see that blocky bark on the other young red/black oaks, but you've got more species down there than I have here.
