Hi. Please advise me what kind of pot would fit my juniper? I've thought about such a crescent pot, but I'm not entirely convinced
Thx

Very interesting tree!

Not sure what you are looking for? Are you asking if the present pot should be changed to the vesicular lava one?

If so my vote would be to keep the pot the tree is in, or uppot into something larger… at least until the juniper foliage is styled.

cheers

Hard to tell but the crescent pot pictured if that is what is being proposed seems small.

I agree with DSD above, I would leave it in the current pot until decisions about the foliage mass are made. Also, do you have an idea of what the root mass looks like? A crescent pot might not fit the root mass at all while a round or oval might accommodate them better

I agree with others that it's unlikely to be wise to make a choice prior to styling the foliage. Based on the trunkline, I think both a round or a stone crescent would work.

Very good tree! I hope to see more of it. I really like the way that the lower trunk spills out of the pot--reminds of Ryan Neil's Captain Hook tree at the Pacific Bonsai Museum.

This tree has a strong base then gets elegant real fast. I would look for a round lobed pott if the apex of the tree is outside the parallel lines of the pot. Crecent doesn't work for me.
