I am planning a trip to Japan this November 2025 (Planning my trip around the Taiken-Ten hopefully but I am not able to find information about it online. Does anyone know if it is happening this year?). I will be staying around the Tokyo and Kyoto area.

Where would one go to shop for bonsai-related items like high quality tools, pots, wire etc that is relatively accessible to the average consumer? (Ie. no special reservations or connections needed, easy to find, tourist friendly)

I read this thread and it has been helpful for places to visit if I wanted to see some Bonsai but I am not sure if they also have things for sale available there.

Any other recommendations and places that some bonsai enthusiast tourists should visit to load up on Bonsai goods?

Thank you.

Check out Ginza Uchiku-an its a small bonsai related shop in a very accessible part of Tokyo. I recall them selling tools and pots.

Another option would be buying from the various nurseries in the Omiya bonsai Village in Saitama just north of Tokyo

Both options would be very tourist friendly and no reservations required
