What virtual program is easiest? but still decent...

I would like to learn some basic virt skills, I know very little about them. Don't have photoshop, or paint... or anything. I am a mac user btw. I don't think I want anything complicated, something simple will probably be enough for me.
So what do you use, and how hard is it to learn?

Judy, I've been playing at times with Pixlr. You can download photos to it and paint on then, erase stuff, etc. But, I don't think it allows for decent rotation (not too many options for that).

Just type "photo editor" in the search box then narrow the results at the left by specifying the platform to Mac and even specify FREE if that is what you want.
