Hey every one,
I got this guy last father's day at Wal-Mart...
Put it up to almost the top of the bulb in dirt in hopes that it would grow some roots around the bulb and help fill it in a bit. Look like it work .

I'm not sure were.to go from here. Think I should take off more of the top?
And should I cover the roots with something for a wile so they don't dry out ?

And last what side would you pick as front?

Nice find and it looks like you have done well with it. In the future you will have trouble repotting because of the rounded edges of the container. Maybe next year put it in a straight-sided container. When the tree becomes vigorous try cutting those straight branches back. I like picture 2 for the front. It has a very expressive root base.
