Firstflush
Chumono
The tree is new to me. Not tons of info out there on it. Evergreen viburnum, so it is much different than the others posted on here. Very cool silver blue berries. Something pretty rare in the wild. Was a season old and beat up so I got it at a huge discount.
Upon purchase it was going to be a twin, however, I dug down to see it was propped from a cutting buried deep with a nice nebari flare.
I did the first pruning and raised it up in the nursery pot to expose the crown. We will see how the scars heal.
BTW, here in socal (10B), the desert, the nurseries generally use a fast draining mix cause we must water frequently. The nursery mix is very free draining despite the looks…..runs right through.
Came back with a vengeance…very strong. NOW I HAVE A FREAKING SLINGSHOT!
Would you keep the second smaller trunk or reduce to a single? If I keep the smaller, I would definitely need backbudding further back. Naked right now.
