Just received a root over rock trident, it came with company
Counted at least 5 of them
How do you suggest I deal with them?
Repot needed?
I keep my shed above 34 degrees in case that’s relevant

Some species of Sciaridae or similar diptera, mostly feeding on decaying organic matter but could damage living tissue. Either organic fertiliser wasn’t removed, organic soil has been used or the top layer has build up a high level of organic content. If need of repotting is confirmed based on other cues I would repot if no repotting is required I would remove the top layer on those areas where there is access decomposing organic matter.

Those are fly maggots of some variety... probably not a big deal for your tree but indicative of overly moist soil- and the soil in the picture looks pretty wet. I'd definitely be planning on a re-pot this spring

Thanks all
I’ll go with granules and repot in the spring
I removed all the moss, I think it was contributing a lot to feeding this lot
