I saw this on eBay and it looks interesting. The pivot/joint area design is similar to the industrial pliers and unlike the traditional bonsai tool design. This is the first I've seen this design in a bonsai tool and I like it.

What do you think?

Looks pretty cool, wonder if it will hold up better in the long run.

It should and with less "wobble" though the weakest point of these cutters are the cutting edge to begin with.

Poink88 those are very interesting and I tried to find out more about them. Could not find them on ebay.com or on the Kaneshin website (http://kaneshin.shop.multilingualcart.com/index_en_jpy.html). Which by the way is not just a listing of their items but an explanation of why they are constructed the way they are.

Could you provide some more information, product numbers etc.?

Doug,

All I have are the pics I lifted from the eBay listing. It says No. 3 DX (I think) on the first pic. Not sure if that helps any.

I am actually very intrigued by the top right tool also (post #5). First time I've seen one too...looks like an old toe trimmer but w/o the reverse curve. :D

Those prices are a little to high for the amount of use at my place. I find that between Fiskars and Sears I can find good cutters with a decent price and warranty. :p

Thanks for link Doug. They have a pretty nice web-site.

You could always just have one of your trees planted on top of your grave. Plenty of fertilizer. Though who would trim it?

Interesting looking cutters btw.
