Ulmus minor "Stoneheart" filling the gap....with cement!

This elm, had the core wood starting to rot



So I get it off with the makita grinder


I made a mix of quit cement and water


And filled the gap with the paste


Till the the top


After 10 minutes, I cleaned the edges with an old toothbrush




From the front, nothing seems to had passed


But I think that it is a good step in order to improve the sealing of the wound. We will see.
