Tridents are awesome.
Out of all my seeds (including native species) the tridents are the easiest to germinate.
As an example:-
We get strong winds here at times and the side of my house acts like a wind tunnel.
The other day, i noticed all these seedlings popping up out of the clay based soil (we're in Spring)...upon closer inspection, Yep Tridents (and 20 free ones at that : )
The wind was coming from the West-ish so there has to be a trident maple somewhere in that general direction.
Great trees and the seed germinates readily.
