Trident and Hedge Maple Projects

Got a Trident Maple and 2 Hedge Maples from a wholesaler for 5 bucks a pop.
this Trident maple was tall, I like the thickness of the trunk and will be searching for base and cut back hard next spring. I’ll put this in a grow container or flat for nebari development and branches. I want this to be a shohin. Next two are Hedge maples , thing spectacular but I like the thickness on these as well. I cut them down to where I want the next transition to happen, will have to investigate the base as well next spring or ground layer. Thoughts? I’m kinda lame w maples but I couldn’t pass these up since I want a shohin trident in the collection w melted base.

Hahahah why they are decent material and the price was part of the reason. I don’t care. My standards are obviously quality of the tree first. But yeah so what I mentioned how much they were it was a good deal , they can kick rocks .

Here is the trident maple.. the field maples did not make my extreme root work. Oh well.
