Too late to repot bald cypress?

I have two cypresses I have been waiting for signs of buds forming. I didn’t check on them for a few days and today I noticed buds extending. Did I miss my window for root work and repot this year?

Might be a bit past optimal. Don't know if you've got freezing weather in the forecast. This weekend looks pretty frigid all the way down to Charlotte. Have a frost-free place to put this after repot...I've got tree moving buds quickly since we've had mid-70's and 80's...doing the bonsai two-step with alot of things come Saturday...into the basement they go...

Im going to have to do the two step this weekend too. They are calling for 21 Saturday night and 33 Sunday. I’m just going to cover my nursery area with plastic and bring in all my others.

Couldn’t you repot and leave in garage for a few days, bring outside during the day and back in for freezing temps?

Done and done. Tap roots trimmed and potted in shallowish nursery pots. Thank y’all.
