I’m located in SoCal by the beach and I’ve been looking at my Hinoki they’re all showing green tips.. wondering if it’s too early to repot a few. The temperatures are lows of 55 and highs of 70 pretty much in the forecast. I know most people wait till Feb/march but they seem to be out of dormancy or never went completely dormant so I’m wondering what the consensus is?

I know Jonas has repotted his pines in the end of January up in the Bay Area without any issues…

Pics or information about age of trees would help, but I'd say do it now.

I reckon your window in SoCal is closing. I'd repot a hinoki now and I'm much colder than you.
