Todd Schlafer Demo Midwest Bonsai Society

Todd Schlafer came in from Denver this week to give a class at Hidden Gardens, then did a demo on an Englmann’s spruce for the Midwest Bonsai Society last night. He is presenting at the Milwaukee Bonsai meeting tonight.

He gave an interesting presentation while doing the demo. Talked about what he was doing and why. Presented different options to the group and why he thought one was better than the other.

Was entertaining as he talked about his pre Bonsai life, how he got involved with Bonsai and the influence his father had in his doing Bonsai full time.

Oh, I don't think of Milwaukee getting sloppy seconds, rather Todd saved the best for last.

He did a Doug Fir demo for us.

Then Weds, Todd did a "private" for 6 of the AAC at Irene's place. That's about half the MKE Arbor Arts Collective. Todd wanted the workshop. Limited to 6 or we would have opened it up for more.

Glad you got a private session with Todd.

I thought he did a good job in Chicago.
