I let my ficus grow uninhibited from spring to early summer. I wrote a blog about it, and posted it on FB. It generated many interesting discussions. Once the ficus is vigorous and covered with so much new growths, it is time to defoliate to allow light in and to back bud. I did just that his late afternoon.
