Here is a European Beech grouping getting wired for the first time in this arrangement. It is about 2.5 feet tall. The pot is temporary; I was maybe thinking of moving it onto a slab. The trees were collected from a local park about 7 years ago, when they were just seedlings. I grew them out in 3 different size anderson flats to get the variety of trunk calipers.

Here is a European Beech progression I’ve had for ten years now. I’ve removed quite a few chaotic branches in that time, I’ve mainly let spring growth full extend then cut back and partially defoliate

I purchased this tree from Peter Wilson shortly after he collected it . Has been under development for eight years. Gradually improving over time. Moving it on to the bench. Hope to find time this week for some wire, light pruning and needle balancing. Still working on my photography skills, less improvement in that aspect.
