Shohin Chinese elm. Started working on it in 2020.




New pot it’ll be going into in the next few weeks



As purchased in June 2020



All the branches were cut off and regrown over the last 4 seasons

Celtis sinensis. Started as a collected seedling that I threaded through a washer. Spent 3 seasons in one of my grow beds. Now the branching can start. Base is around 5” wide, had to scramble to find a bigger pot after it wouldn’t fit in the original one I had planned

Thanks! This tree was grown from a cutting for about 20 years by Don Lindstrom. He did a fantastic job growing it and setting it up for success. He sold it to me in July 2021. Here is a pic that he sent me before the purchase. I could not pass it up as they are really hard to find in this size. Good ones at least!
