I just wanted to post regarding the Flower Market in Monroe, MI. They have a great selection of all things Bonsai. Many very nice large bonsai, good pre-bonsai material, wire, lots of pots, tools, turface, haydite, etc. The owner, Curt, was very nice and full of information. I also felt the prices were reasonable. Make the trip out. It is worth your time!

Wondering if this is the place that bought Dale Cochoys collection? If so, then I bet there is some really nice stuff!

Yes Judy, Kurt bought over 100 trees from my collection ( about 115 I think?), hardy and tropical, along with oodles of Japanese and Chinese pots, viewing stones, etc.

Too bad you didn't come here before I sold them :>)

There were some great trees there! Most of the lager bonsai were WAY out of my price range, but they were very large and amazing. He had some smaller bonsai that was well within my price range ($100-200). I may be interested in one next year. He had some great pre-bonsai material. I bought a nice trident maple with 1.5-2". I saw some nice pre-bonsai junipers, but I don't have much of a passion for that.
