I am not sure if this has been shared on here (a quick search did not reveal anything) but if you are interested, Arthur Joura who is the curator of the NC Arboretum bonsai collection is doing his 3rd year of the curators journal.

It is a FREE subscription and you get an email every Friday to writings and photos (sometimes videos) that give incite into the bonsai collection at the NC Arboretum. Some weeks he gives the history of a tree, others the history of the collection, and the development and upkeep of the bonsai garden.

Click this link and you can view/subscribe-- I have really enjoyed it over the last 2 years and I am excited he just started year 3.

Always admired Arthur Joura. The most recent entry is fascinating and well thought out. Age is a relative thing and kind of beside the point for bonsai (people as well) 😁

Just binge read a number of articles, including his whole series on his 3 day lesson with Yuji Yoshimura which I found utterly captivating. Mr. Joura’s writing is phenomenal, darn near professional if not better than much “professional” journalism I’ve read of recent. This dude must be a real Renaissance man. I’ve always wanted to visit Asheville, add another reason to the list. Can’t wait to start getting these on Fridays.
