The Art of Shaping a Bonsai Tree by Ryan Neil

WOW Technically and artistically this is a great film. The B-roll is extremely goo and the selection under the scrip is outstanding.

The script give newcomer and old-timer much to think about. Ryan Neil and Ryan Bush have "done not good - but great". This should be mandatory showing in every bonsai club and study group in the country.

Thanks

It does give one much food for thought and a great introduction for those new to the art. Very basic and genic in nature but I found it quite moving.

I'll have to either watch it in town...or after midnight. Videos kill our broadband data.
Darlene I know what you mean I am in a NC tobacco field and am on a Verizon USB and the cost is outrageous - $100/month. No company will run cables here. BUT I think you should take you phone or ipad and go to MickyD's or library for free wi-fi and watch this. You won't be sorry. (Have a great week-end.)

You reminded me...I do need to stop at the library to drop off a "plastic" fairy garden tree to a friend who is the manager there...iPad will go with me. Thanks for the idea.

Wow...very well put together...loved the small touches of his walking on the trail...to the thick copper he used...and the glimpse of amazing materials. All around an amazing piece of footage to watch.

Ok sure, but man, get a decent pair of shoes for the shoot!

He is a bonsai professional. I would expect him to talk passionately about his craft. You just happen to be interested in the same thing.

Anyone interested in a video about me and thongs?
That sounds like a proposition o_O But what's even scarier is the thought that there is a video of you out there in a thong :)

I get what you mean but it's just refreshing to hear someone talk passionately about the art of bonsai without sounding pompous or arrogant. Never met him but seems like a very humble guy; well for seven and a half minutes anyway.

A good pair of shoes would have contradicted the entire piece. Just my opinion...actually his shoes never caught my eye, had they been new they might have...I would have thought I guess if they stood out. Here is a man with no hiking experience. Just food for thought...I loved the passion you could feel. From the video. But each can read what they want, that's what make us each unique.

Al...I can guarantee I won't be rushing to the library to see that. For fear a child would peak over my shoulder...lol but mental images are just as creative. I will never forget that photo...it burnt itself into my memory. Lol your a good sport...you and your love of thongs. I sure hope they are a size to large...makes them more comfy. ;) Or...so I'm told.

The Shaping of.....Ryan Neil...? At times, I thought I was listening to Lance Armstrong. More power to him....

Bawahahahahha um-mm I think I will pass. I know...hard to believe eh? So...I don't want to know what you've had delivered to your house in a plain brown wrapper, and know of this technique...I'm tired and everything I'm finding really amusing. I really need to grab a book instead of being online.
