I purchased my 2nd Jabuticaba late last fall, the first one died a slow death after repotting shortly after I received it. :(.
So this second one I kept inside under a grow light over winter and kept it in the same pot that it came in. It put on some decent growth over winter so I thought things were looking promising. It’s been in the mid 80’s F here in Texas that last month or so. So I decided to repot the tree into some bonsai soil and a large pond basket. I made sure not to do any root removal because I didn’t want this one to die like the first one. But it’s been about a month and the leaves look like they’re drying up, maybe sun scorch? So I moved it to the shade the last couple weeks with lots of indirect light. I just can’t figure out what I’m doing wrong with these. We have hot humid weather here so it should be feeling at home from spring till early winter. Anyone have some advice?
Here are some pictures in the original pot after putting on some new growth when it seemed healthy. Then a couple pictures of it now with the crispy browning leaves in its new pot.

Mine did this this year after moving it from inside back to outside. The only thing I could think was that the Sun's heat was drying it out too quick, so I changed my watering regime from once per day to twice per day, and I haven't noticed any crisping leaves since then. Mine is on an automated timer and waters for two minutes twice a day now.

They like a lot of water and do not seem to tolerate drying out.
