I have a big Taxus baccata in my parents garden. It is very bushy wide and around 2 meter high and with a trunk width approx a feet.
My parents might sell their house within a year, but im promised i can dig up the yew before. Is a bit emotional, since the bush was my childhood hide out. Now i will turn that memory into a bonsai.
So my questions is, following:
1) Which month of year is best for digging it up? ( I'm living in Denmark in northern europe)
2) Can I prune it before i dig it up? And if so, should I do that some months before or can I prune branches and root on same day i dig up?
I will really appreciate any advice, since I'm affraid to kill the tree.
