Got an email this morning that Superfly Bonsai is going out of business. 33 percent off of everything and free shipping with orders over $100. Sale ends Christmas Eve. Too bad. Had a really good experience with stuff I got from that company.

Same here. I went to their website. There are still good Kiku bonsai tools to get. All the pots and soil are gone I think. The deals on the tools are good but as always, dealing with going out of business sale carries some risk. If the orders are not filled, getting refunds may be difficult.

Always sad to hear of someone leaving the bonsai business... it seemed like things were headed in the right direction(?) I noticed they were not at the Winter Show this year.
True. I would like to see honest bonsai businesses thriving. This is the reason why I continue to deal with small bonsai businesses whenever I find a good one. I rely on the Vendor Experience forum in this regard.

He was there in the usual spot in the demo room. All he had was some plastic printed pots and a few wire caddy's I believe that were also plastic printed. He may have left early?

I saw that display and didn't think it was him. He didn't have any of his signage or banners up - and he didn't bring any trees or pots like prior years. I honestly didn't even stop at his table :(

After our factory sent pallets of products to Superfly Bonsai at 2 years ago, Andy Youtz (the owner of Superfly Bonsai) has still not paid for the tools & Kiku saws he sourced from our factory, he is a crook, so even he sold at 10%, then he could still make dirty money.. Shame on Andy Youtz..

You do not neeed to worry about the quality of the tools, because our factory made & sent all the Kiku tools and Kiku saws to Superfly Bonsai, but the owner Andy Youtz was a crook, he did not pay us any money after he received our tools. So all the tools are in good quality, but shame on Andy Youtz.

Superfly Bonsai left the community because his reputation was so bad. the owner Andy Youtz did not just cheated us, but he cheated many other people in US also.. Shame on Andy Youtz..

Yes, honest is so important. When Andy Youtz and Superfly Bonsai were cheating people's money, I believe Andy Youtz's new business named Treeigami would be another crook.

Andy Youtz would be worried to go to the public, as he cheated many people's money. His new business Treeigami would be another crook..

Yes, he would be worried to go to the public. When he sold our top quality bonsai tools & Kiku saws without paying any money, and also he owed lots of people money, Andy Youtz, Superfly Bonsai and Treeigami should know they could not go to the public anymore..

Please go to court and get it settled there. No need for dirty laundry washing on a friendly forum. Least of all make an account just to spew your complaints all over the place.

I am in the middle here. It is easy to say to go to court but lawsuits are expensive and time consuming, especially international lawsuits. @DingmuBonsaiTool put down a serious charge that may or may not be without merit. I am taking a wait and see stance.

Sorry, but.. Exactly as you say. It may or may not have merit. Meaning that accusations are made here where one side cannot defend itself.
Court cases are not expensive if you are right because then the court case costs are paid for by the defendant. And if the defendant indeed ordered loads of tools and never paid then he will win.

Defamation however you can never recover from, even if you are innocent. Online rumours stay.

Maybe they should settle in court, can you imagine how hard that is as a small business in another country? If Dingmu Tools have been wronged then fair play to them for saying something about it, looks like they gave Youtz plenty of time. People should know if he's now set up another bonsai biz. Sounds like a crook.

I'm surprised that this thread was necro'd since the last post was back in 2023. Lol Creating an account just to bash someone...that's pretty insane. Hopefully you'll get it resolved in some ways.

I am going to close this thread, other than to say that Dingmu Bonsai Tool Company was in fact the company providing Kiku tools to Superfly Bonsai, and I have confirmed their identity and that they are posting from Shanghai, China. I have taken this conversation offline and would refer people to this nicer, gentler thread:

Also, I give a lot of leeway for people who aren't able to post in their native language. Even the best AI translation tools are awkward.
