I had no idea the daiza could be so elaborate! But...which one spoke to me...the buffalo. Honoring the living representation standing in view. That was pretty deep.

Correct me if I am wrong....but it looks like suiseki can also contain fossils?

Several of those fancy ones were carved by a Chinese artisan who takes commissions It's all he does for a living... so he is quite good

The antique bronze suiban in photo #6 is easy to miss. It is worth a pretty penny!
