Got this juniper for $10...it's honestly a mess, but thought it might be nice to try some things out on.
Anyone got any thoughts on a direction to take this tree in? It's a few feet tall at the moment and the foliage is fairly far from the trunk on most of the branches.
I'm open to any ideas, wild or tame! I'm just at a loss on where to take it.

The answer you probably don't want to hear is to get it healthy and probably postpone any styling discussions for a year or more... Looks quite sickly, and any styling would necessitate removing all the weak growth, leaving you even less to play with. Needs to be bursting with vigor for any radical design IMO. Free draining substrate, loads of sun, feed.

Its cheap, difficult material so others may say just go at it :)
