I saw this, and I miss living in a place where slate is more plentiful.
Of course we could just screw our trees to a plank, or as I do, to an upturned drip tray that I bury my trees with, but a flat-ish stone would create a more natural look almost the same way as a JBP props itself up by its roots over time that doesn’t end up being super flat
