I live in zone 7b and keep my trees in an uninsulated shed in the winter. Nighttime temps occasionally dip in the lower 20f. I use a small space heater with an osculating fan and turn it on before bed and off before work in the morning but it's a pain. Thanks

I'd get something like this: https://www.amazon.com/DEWENWILS-Temperature-Controller-Thermostat-Greenhouse/dp/B0D1FZFZQ4/

Most small space heaters are ~ 1500W and this one's rated for 1800. Be careful that you're not keeping your trees too warm unnecessarily. Let them get cold and go dormant if they're not tropicals. Once temps reach a level you need to protect them from, keep in mind that you don't want to get them too warm. I wouldn't pay to heat dormant trees > 32ºF. Once they've broken dormancy, 35ºF's a good lower limit.

I'm just trying to keep them in the safe zone above 25°F. A lot of my trees are Shohin/Chuhin deciduous with fine ramification. We get wacky weather in early spring too. If I can keep everything around 32°F at night I'll be happy.
