Sam Tans Monterrey Cypress is one of my fave trees at the moment. I’m glad it was in the show, though it doesn’t seem to have gotten much love. It’s the most atypical styling for a bonsai if you ask me. As much as I love traditional trees and styling, I could use a touch more variety.

Did you get any photos of that one?

I really liked both the monterey cypresses on display. I could only get a picture of one, due to the crowds.

There was a vendor selling some, but all the good ones were taken right away. I

All awesome trees. But My favorites are that beech forest , Matt Reels RMJ, the shohin display is just bonkers , and the Colorado blue spruce and that pine w the crazy shari. Congratulations to the winners , especially Rakuyo’s Witch Hazel winning best deciduous.

Thought I saw it in the video. This tree is also a stunner in my opinion.
