Those are great thanks for sharing!! Do you have a automatic watering system set up to keep them moist? I'd imagine with such small pots they need water quite often. I have a number of shohin trees that need water 3 times a day. I'd image these mames need even more?

So far this spring Ma Nature has had total control of my watering system. I spend most of my time refilling soil into the pots that her heavy rains have emptied.

Otherwise, I water -- everything -- twice a day in spring, summer, and fall and once every 2 days in winter.

Are you interested in parting with that first one for the right price?....

I suppose everything has a price, but the pot is NOT for sale.

Wow,

Those are really nice. It makes me think that I have been thinking too big with some of my designs. If I bring the designs in smaller, I won't have to wait forever for my trunks to thicken. In particular my privet is unimpressive and ugly at medium size; I may need to dramatically reduce it next time around.

Thanks,
David

These are exceptionally well done! The trunks look very large and old.

Thanks. That's the goal of bonsai (one of them, at least) after all.

Awesome, thanks for sharing jkl.
I like how the tears and scratches on the L. Sinense turns into such mature weathered looking bark over time.

Have you given the turn a Ligustrum root into a bonsai a try yet?
The ageing of the exposed roots looks more spectacular as time goes by.
