Si and I went to this show this afternoon. There are some trees to be shown here. Si, I need you to jump in to make some comments if you could

Nice pics Bonhe! It's a pretty good show. There are a lot more trees there that are not shown here, including some really big ones. The show is still on for one more day if anybody is close enough to go see it. I highly recommend it.
The room is a bit too crowded and dark for good photography. The bigger trees on the outside are too much back-lighted for good pictures. The trees are generally much better in real life, although there were a few that were not quite ready for show. The little shohin cascade shimpaku (by John Wang I think) shown above is really spectacular. This picture doesn't do it any justice at all. The other shohins (by Larry Ragle I think. There were no name tags yet) are all really nice too. They were in very nice antique Japanese pots. The suiseki that came with this shohin display was really nice. Eventually there will be better pictures of the show trees on Kofu Kai's website I think.

Thanks bonhe, I met a bunch of Kofu Kai's club members at the Hawaii Bonsai Covention ( a whole group flew over ). Its great to see some of their trees. Wish I could've been there.

This was a great show, we were there just before lunch on Saturday so missed the demo. That one juniper was outstanding. Forgot my camera but I do have pics from last year if anyone is interested.

Very nice bonsais Peter! Thanks for showing them. Your oak tree and bald cypress are really big! It is hard to get a feel of the size of them from pictures. If you have better pictures of the other trees and the demos, please share them for us.
