Ski / Snowboard thread

Yesterday was amazing. It snowed moderately for two days then barfed down real good on the third day of the storm. In the morning there were 50cms of cold blower powder sitting on top of the previous day's soft choppy powder. Full charge mode all morning, it's actually been a few years since I've been in conditions to ski like that! Not getting any younger but the body held up just fine, always a concern now but so far so good, whew.
Paying the price this morning, today is about nothing but shovelling and Bnut rest breaks, nearly there now. image.jpgimage.jpg

Lucky you getting beauty snow conditions! In the east has been on and off most season, finally got a day of fresh stuff last Friday. I do 4 day weeks in winter so I can skip mid week, avoid weekend crowds.

MY back hurts just looking!!!

Well, used up all the powder.

But tonight I get to go in a GS race, stoked!
Skis tuned up on the dirtbag tuning bench, razor sharp and waxed. image.jpg

Been training too by watching Ligety on YouTube. Doesn't look too hard to ski like that right?

I wish I still had the armour and padding, I'll duct tape some magazines to arms and legs and be good to go.

I love hard snow carving almost as much as powder days actually, somehow it just never gets old.

just got back from skiing around lake tahoe. got three days at heavenly, three at kirkwood and one at northstar. (was planning on skiing 8 days but had to take sunday off due to being too hungover) lots of great skiing and saw some cool trees too.

Mark McMorris splashed (again) hard into some trees this time... he claims that he'll be up and running for the Olympics... lol, that guy is nuts!

Stuck forever in the skiing-poor mid Atlantic region but nevertheless picked up an amazing pair of demo'd Head Titans for $440 the last day of the season. They are sum beasts!
