This is my Toyo Nishiki Flowering Quince done in the sinuous style. Last year, it had more flowers. This year, the flowers came early, with not much foliage present, in contrast to previous flowering. If anyone has ideas about developing ramification, I would like to hear them. On this particular tree, nipping the terminal bud tends to produce another bud slightly down the branch, which then extends growth, rather than developing secondary branches. Ramification has proven very difficult.

Just 3 days later, the flowers on the tree had changed enough that another picture was warranted. There are more flowers coming.

as always your quince are looking great.... they certainly are a species that you have a wonderful sense of.... beautiful tree... I hope to continue enjoying watching it change over the years with you :) :)

Me, too. I've noticed that flowering quince have ignited other BonsaiNuts' manias, and I'm no different.
