Shohin trident ? For Smoke

Another great tree and awesome progression thread. Only problem with this hobby is that I now need to wait about 10 years to see if I actually learned from this and applied it correctly to my tree.

Sick tree that cut paste holding up good for healing ? Might be a stupid question but have you ever thought of thread grafting to catalyze healing the back of the tree? Or would that be fruitless at this point

Discovered another scale outbreak on this tree last week. It had been a few years since I encountered this. Defoliated, treated with alcohol, and will hit it with an insecticide tomorrow when it’s not raining. Also took the opportunity to prune it back a little.

This tree just keeps getting better and better! How’s the wound in the back healing @Brian Van Fleet?

Your thread is inspiring, I have a similar trident in one of my grow beds. Seeing your branch placement and what works is incredibly valuable, thank you! The base of mine is roughly 7” under the soil level.
