I purchased this online 3 years ago. I like the overall look but need to make the foliage tight. Going to repot it into a slightly bigger pot to make it healthy and less leggy.

That’s a wise decision that leaves plenty of time to explore options.

We have a shipaku informal upright (a not so wise decision) in somewhat the same situation. It’s been one and a half years since the primary structure was set. Now it’s going take us a couple more years (in our area) to build up sufficient momentum, push back foliage and then fill out the tree so it can begin assume a decent design
