I have been going to my ceramics class for 6 months now and making progress in so many ways. Now, i'm addicted to making shohin pots and they are fun and very easy to make specially if you have your own pottery wheel... Practice, practice and more practice in order for you to get the hang of it... My shohin pots are fired at cone 10 and looking to buy electric kiln next month...

Hope you like my shohin pots!!! :)

You've been busy! I took a ceramics class my senior year of high school as a filler, easy a class. I ended up really enjoying it, and my teacher even said I was a natural at the wheel! It's pretty fun to be able to create something with you own hands.

Last four of my shohin pots!!! Enjoy..:)

Very beautiful Maria and so many!! Thanks for sharing. I remember taking a class in ceramics back in my High School years. I remember that class fondly and got myself completely addicted with ceramics for a while. Love throwing clay on the wheel!!

Keep up the great work!!

Wow, you really are creating nice pots. I am amazed that you've got so many different glaze already. Good job!!!

Maria,
Those are really wonderful little pots!

I look forward to the day that you have so many you might make some available other bonsai people. ;)

Congratulations on your new found hobby. Looks like you have a real talent for making pots.

I think you should keep making them and offer some of them up for sale to your bonsainut friends.....:D

You know, to help fund your hobby, not for our benefit or anything....

Very nice work! The glazes are awesome. I have been wanting to learn how to make my own pottery over the past year. It would be so rewarding to know you made a pot specifically for one of your own trees.

Very beautiful...now...you know...if you keep this up...your going to have your hands full with bonsais to fill all those beautiful pots. Not a bad thing...if you ask me.

Some very interesting pots and glazes. Great start. Maria where are you located (perhaps put in your profile.)
