Sorry, I don't know much about pottery. A better question(s) would be: what did you have to do to get that texture/color for the black part? Is that the only part that's glazed?

No problem. I use mason stains and pigments I make to get the matte color.

I use a variety of tools to create the texture when the clay is leather hard.

The whole pot is “glazed”, but it is matte and not the gloss like many traditional “glazed”
