First pitch pine seedling grown for 2 years in a tall plastic Anderson pot, repotted only one tonight sorry kings & queens.
Anyway here is the first one I cut off some upper roots , and used a lace rock to thread fit tie roots down to bottom of the stone . Then I placed in pond basket with mostly pumice then a mix of akadama , pumice and some lava. I used much to hold some of the upper roots near stone , then tied to the stone with raffia and top dressed w sphagnum

The candles opened up in July , I put some wire to create movement … just gonna let it keep that basic movement , then keep is growing .. the plan is to have lower trunk /roots fill in those rock crevasses, I also have roots going over the side as well.

The roots going over the side look really good. I have a similar jbp I’ve been working on myself.
