Masterpiece
Collected this American Beech this morning. Was growing on hillside , as the roots were inspected , there were rocks below it causing a lot of fine feeder roots like ground layer does…to grow close to the trunk. No large downward tap root. Planted in pumice and pine bark. It’s planted deep because the twist of the trunk. It’s a big one , so for leaf reduction American beech is difficult but can be dampened by larger size tree. Tried to show the front but goal is to just let it recover and get more budding down the line.
